I always tell folks, “I am blessed!”

God planted the seed in my heart when I was a young girl. I loved dance class from the start!

I came from a family of self-taught musicians. My love for music was in the form of listening to my daddy play the mandolin and acoustic guitar. I spent a lot of time with my Granny Ruby and Grandpa Lum Rowell. I was a performer before I even knew what a performer was.

When Daddy would take me to Granny Ruby’s, they would say, “Move the couch back! Angie is going to tap dance!” Grandpa would play the banjo, an aunt or uncle would play the string guitar, and Daddy would play and sing whatever song I picked, while cousins and other family members would clap and sing along.

I was so blessed to grow up with this kind of love and attention. I never dreamed that I could make a living doing something that was so rewarding!

I opened the studio when I was just 26 years old and didn’t know a lot about running a business. I just felt led, and I made a deal with God. If He would bless me in my business and guide my steps in every way, give me the strength and wisdom, the patience and talent, I would give Him all the praise and glory.

I prayed that He would use me in a mighty way to be a light in the lives of all my students.

Being enrolled at my studio is more than a dance class. We have a team made up of myself and a very talented group of homegrown dance teachers who understand the value of sowing seeds of encouragement, confidence, love, family, and the dynamics of teamwork.

My adult children, my son Ryan and daughter Taylor, grew up at the studio. We have been blessed with the love and support of so many families who have become lifelines to us.

We are more than a dance studio.

We are family!
